Listen to the “Isolation” remixes from BlakLight

| |

One of my favorite songs from last year just got a bunch of remixes. BlakLight is out today with a set of remixes of their song, “Isolation,” which was number nine on my list of the best synthpop songs of 2020.

You can find Isolation (The Remixes) on Bandcamp and Spotify.

This collection of remixes includes wildly varying styles from the likes of Von Hertzog, Nature of Wires, People Theater, Vain Machine, and The Cowls. Nature of Wires have given it a club-friendly mix.

BlakLight is a fantastic new synthpop band from Los Angeles, California. Their debut single, “Isolation,” is out today.

The single release includes a cover of the Fad Gadget song, “Lady Shave.” You can find both songs on Bandcamp and Spotify.

Incidentally, that might just be one of the cutest album covers of the year.

You may recognize the voice of BlakLight. The band is comprised of vocalist Brian Belknap from Mind Machine and programmer Adam Collier from Crush333, MDA, and Full Frontal Disco.

They’ve been working on a full-length album, which is being mixed and mastered now.
