Swedish synthpop trio Vogon Poetry has a new single out called “Atomic Skies” that consists of three tracks, including the title track and two new remixes of previously released singles “Tankar” and “Passion.”
“Atomic Skies” is a fun, propulsive track that takes listeners on a journey across an apocalyptic wasteland. The song, which could serve as a warning, includes media samples from the famous video game Fallout: “Damn you, warmongering humans!”
Vogon Poetry of course take their name from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and many of their songs cover science fiction themes.
Both “Tankar” and “Passion” appeared on their last album, Deep Thought, which was released in 2020. Here, they’re remixed by SCALA and Glenn Main, respectively. “Passion” also appeared on a double-single with Electric City Cowboys called “Electric Passion.”
