Artoffact Records albums are pay what you can

The label and its artists are being hit hard by lost tour and festival revenue. Shell out what you can spare and get some great music to listen to while you self isolate.

ACTORS

Artoffact Records is a fantastic label that releases music from some of the best bands on the planet. The label and its artists are being hit hard by lost tour and festival revenue due to the coronavirus pandemic.

If you are not aware, Artoffact was supposed to present a showcase of its artists at SXSW Music Festival, which was one of the first major events to be canceled. I can only imagine how much money they had invested in travel, merch, and other expenses that is now lost.

Right now, the label’s digital releases on Bandcamp are PAY WHAT YOU CAN. Please shell out what you can spare and get some great music to listen to during self isolation. Buying music is a great way to support artists through these difficult times.

Check out all their releases on Bandcamp here.

You can’t go wrong with anything on the Artoffact label. But here are a few of my favorites I heartily recommend:

ACTORS – It Will Come to You

ACTORS single-handedly revived my interest in post-punk. It Will Come to You was my favorite album of 2018, and its darkly sentimental single “We Don’t Have to Dance” my favorite song of the year.

Wingtips – Exposure Therapy

One of the best new bands in the dark alternative scene. Wingtips will have you dancing with underground club hits like “Deaf Pursuit” and “After the Storm.”

Seeming – Madness & Extinction

Seeming’s debut album about the end of the world seems especially poignant right now. “The Burial” is ominous and brilliant, but “Goodnight London” may just be the cheerful little ditty we need.

Legend – Midnight Champion

If you aren’t familiar with Legend, buy this album immediately. The Icelandic band makes stunning electronic-rock with a strong Scandinavian vibe.
