Greek synthpop artist Dark-o-matic has a new song out called “Another Woman’s Crime.” It features vocals by George Georgalas, who has officially joined the band as its new lead singer.
”Another Woman’s Crime” will appear on Dark-o-matic’s upcoming sophomore album, Dark Phoenix Rising, an appropriate title given changes the band has endured over the past year.
Dark-o-matic’s original lead singer Piero Delux left the band for undisclosed reasons, and they no longer appear to be signed to darkwave label skyQode. But the music goes on.
Georgalas, who previously collaborated with Dark-o-matic on a track called “No Eden,” joined the band full-time last month. The duo is hard at work completing their new album.
Musician Greg Dovas formed Dark-o-matic in 2017. The band’s debut album, New Hope, arrived in 2019 and contained a beautiful single called “Make Me Blue” that I named one of the best synthpop songs of 2019.
