Los Angeles band Cold Cave has a new song and video out today called “Prayer From Nowhere.” It’s moody and gorgeous darkwave.
“Prayer From Nowhere” is the third song Cold Cave has released from their upcoming record, Fate in Seven Lessons. Earlier this month, they released a new single called “Night Light” that showcases a strong New Order influence. The record will also include Cold Cave’s excellent track, “Promised Land,” one of my favorite songs of 2019.
Fate in Seven Lessons is due out on June 11. The record will contain seven “melancholy and emotional songs of love and longing.” It’s an unusual number of tracks for a release that puts it somewhere between an EP and a full-length album.
