Albums don’t usually get released on Saturdays. But it’s a Leap Day, so expect the unexpected. Mysterious artist Age Zero dropped his third album, Age Zero III.
Age Zero III is tense, contemplative music for your headphones rather than the dancefloor. It’s a fantastic listen from beginning to end. I detect themes of despair and suicide, as well as several references to Japan. Track three “Aokigahara Has to Wait” refers to the famous forest in Japan that is a suicide site.
I know nothing about Age Zero, and there’s virtually no biographical information online. I believe he is German. You can find his official website here.
