Panic Priest is doing a charming nightly livestream

Panic Priest

Chicago darkwave artist Panic Priest is streaming live every night this week from his apartment. He’s streamed two sessions so far, and the next one is tonight at 8 pm CDT.

You can watch the first two sessions below. And RSVP to the Facebook Events here.

I love how creative and unique artists are getting with these livestreams. There have been straightforward concert performances, studio sessions, weekend-long festivals, Zoom conferences, and even one-off performances from people’s kitchens. It’s one of the best things to come out of this horrible global situation.

Panic Priest calls his livestream “Home Sessions.” He typically plays 2 to 3 songs each night and then talks to the camera about the songs and answers questions from people on chat. It’s totally charming.

In the first session, he played one of his new singles, “Nighthunter.” That song will appear on Panic Priest’s upcoming second album, Second Seduction. It’s due out on Friday, May 1.  You can pre-order it at Bandcamp.
