Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross are scoring the music for HBO’s adaptation/remix of the “Watchmen” comic book. The soundtrack, Watchmen Volume 1, appeared on streaming services today.
The music in “Watchmen” is one of the best things about the show. It sounds like prime Nine Inch Nails, without any vocals. Though there are some dialogue snippets from the show.
They previously released the end credits on Youtube, which we now know is a track titled “Nun With a Motherfucking Gun.” That title rules. This track rules.
Reznor and Ross are planning to release two more volumes of music from the show. Details for all 3 volumes are on the NIN website here.
