The Rain Within covers the Duran Duran classic, “Hungry Like the Wolf”

This is a great synthpop cover.

The Rain Within

The Rain Within’s Andy Deane has a beautiful voice, so it’s nice to hear him singing a song that most of us probably know by heart, the classic New Wave hit “Hungry Like the Wolf” by Duran Duran.

You can find the song on Bandcamp and Spotify.

Andy turns “Hungry Like the Wolf” into a soothing synthpop ballad. The track is accompanied by two additional songs, a V△LH△LL remix of “Like the Devil” and an unreleased song called “Delicate.”

In a statement, Andy explains why he covered this song: “I was a kid in the 80s, and Duran Duran captured my imagination and my sense of wonder like few others. They played with melodies I hadn’t heard before and took songs places I didn’t expect them to go. And they looked great doing it.”

It’s been about two years since The Rain Within’s last album, Atomic Eyes. But we’ve heard from him several times this year. He supplied a track called “Red Cells” to the final Electronic Saviors compilation, and he performs vocals on a beautiful track from Sweat Boys called “You Are My Heart.”
