Beyond Border – “Simplify”

“Simplify” comes from their debut album, Awakening.

Beyond Border

German duo Beyond Border released a lyric video for their latest single, “Simplify.” I love this song. It kicks off with a famous quote from Shakespeare’s Macbeth: “Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”

“Simplify” appears on Beyond Border’s incredible debut album, Awakening, one of the best releases of the year. The album, which is the first part in a planned trilogy, also includes the previously released singles “What Makes the World Go Round” and “Construction.”

I named Beyond Border the new synthpop artist of 2020. Read my interview with the band to learn more about their background and their approach to music.

You can find “Simplify” on Bandcamp and Spotify.
