Beyond Border – “What Makes the World Go Round”

“What Makes the World Go Round” is a celebration of music, dancing, and friendship.

German duo Beyond Border has a new song and visual out today called “What Makes the World Go Round.” It’s a celebration of music, dancing, friendship, and all the other joyous things that get us through life—things we’ll hopefully return to this year once we get COVID-19 under control.

“What Makes the World Go Round” features backing vocals from Brian Belknap, the unmistakable voice of BlakLight. It’s been remixed by a who’s who of the dark electro scene, including Solitary Experiments, NamNamBulu, People’s Theater, Ruined Conflict, Vanguard, and Device Not Ready.

Last year, I named Beyond Border the best new artist of 2020 for an incredible run of singles that included the high-energy banger “Construction” and an energetic cover of the Visage classic “The Damned Don’t Cry.” “What Makes the World Go Round” is Beyond Border’s first official release of 2021 and the first single from their debut album, tentatively titled Triage, which should be out by the end of the year.

You can find “What Makes the World Go Round” at Bandcamp, Spotify, and other digital platforms.
