Fonohead releases another sublime video, “Hey You”

Fonohead - Hey You

Fonohead is one of my favorite new artists, and he has a new video out for his track “Hey You.”

The stark black-and-white video features Fonohead carrying an antique pendulum clock across a beach and staring wistfully out to sea. Perhaps he’s thinking about times he’s spent traveling. “Who’s looking for a better place,” he sings.

“Hey You” is from Fonohead’s excellent debut album, A Broken Shape of Time. It’s one of the best synthpop albums of 2020 so far.

Fonohead previously released a music video for his song “Metropolitan Child,” an ode to urban travel that features footage shot in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
