This might be my favorite of the three songs we’ve heard from Erasure’s upcoming album, The Neon. “Nerves of Steel” is the legendary synthpop duo’s latest track.

The music video stars a colorful array of famous drag queens and LGBT personalities, including Amanda Lepore, Candis Cayne, Detox, Sherry Vine, and many more.

Erasure singer Andy Bell says it’s his favorite song from the new album. “I am truly honored that all our LGBTQIA+ friends were so creative during lockdown and helped us with this joyful video,” he says. “Thanks for creating such a lovely piece of art!”

The Neon is Erasure’s 18th album. It’s due out August 21.

We’ve also heard “Hey Now (Think I Got a Feeling)” and “Shot a Satellite.”
