The excellent Swedish synth band Ashbury Heights released a couple of spooky cover songs to celebrate Halloween. Yesterday, they uploaded a video of one of my favorite songs of all time, Gerard McMahon’s “Cry Little Sister,” the theme song from The Lost Boys.

I love that it’s not a straight cover and they’ve added their own touch to it, especially the female vocals in place of the children’s choir. I believe that’s Yaz Uhlin, the original female vocalist of Ashbury Heights, who left the band in 2008.

About a week ago, they released a cover of “People Are Strange,” which was also in The Lost Boys. Watch “Cry Little Sister” below.
