Felix Marc is a very busy musician

Listen to a new solo track from Felix Marc called “Touch” and a new song from his Frozen Plasma project.

Felix Marc

It’s a busy week for German artist Felix Marc. The prolific musician belongs to three popular projects—Diorama, Frozen Plasma, his solo work—and all three of them are active right now.

First up, Felix Marc released a new song today under his solo moniker. It’s an energetic and emotional track called “Touch.”

“Touch” is Felix Marc’s first single of 2022 and the follow-up to a pair of singles he released last year: “Drift” and “Heartbox.” All three tracks feature a pixelated cover image, suggesting they’ll ultimately belong to something cohesive, though he’s yet to announce if these singles will appear on a full-length album. Felix Marc’s last album was Substance, which I included on my list of the best albums of 2019. It featured the track “Lost in Grace,” probably my favorite song Felix has ever recorded.

You can find “Touch” at Bandcamp and Spotify.

Frozen Plasma releases new song “Moths”

There’s also new music out today from Frozen Plasma, the German futurepop duo that includes Felix Marc and producer Vasi Vallis. Frozen Plasma has released “Moths” as a Bandcamp exclusive that will likely hit streaming services in the coming weeks.

“Moths” is the first new Frozen Plasma song since their 2020 album, Gezeiten. Gezeiten, Frozen Plasma’s fourth album, featured a nautical theme and included the songs “Gefühlsmaschine” and “Sailor.”

You can find “Moths” at Bandcamp.

Diorama performs live in Germany

There’s no new music out today from Diorama, the long-running avant-synth project from German artist Torben Wendt and Felix Marc, but they did recently perform live in Reutlingen, Germany. The lengthy concert included two encores and several tracks from Diorama’s latest album, Tiny Missing Fragments.

They also performed at least one song wearing lucha libre masks.

Diorama’s next show is April 9 in Oberhausen, Germany.
